A 42-year-old British woman was robbed and raped on early Thursday morning near Palolem beach in South Goa. Victim said that she was on her way to rented accommodation from the Canacona Railway Station when she was waylaid.

An FIR has been lodged under section 376 of IPC against the unidentified persons and Goa Crime Branch is assisting in the search.
“We have drawn up a list of suspects based on the description given to us,” said Rajendra Prabhudessai, inspector.
Goa is on India's biggest tourist destinations and foreigners are majorly attracted to it.
