Mumbai: Arnab Goswami, editor-in-chief of Republic Bharat TV channel, received a major setback from the Bombay High Court on Monday. The High Court has dismissed his bail plea.

The court asked his lawyer to appeal to the lower court. The Bombay High Court had secured the verdict on Goswami's bail plea after completing the hearing on Saturday and pronounced his verdict after 3 pm on Monday. Arnab Goswami has been accused of abetment in the suicide case of an interior designer and his old mother.

The High Court heard Arnab's bail plea on Friday and Saturday. After a two-day hearing, the bench reserved its decision, which is made public today. Advocate Sudhir Suryavanshi, who was present during the hearing in the High Court, shared the court's decision on social media.

Big shock to team Arnab:

The bench of Justice MS Shinde and MS Karnik of the Bombay High Court has given its verdict on the bail plea of ​​Arnab Goswami on Monday. The Arnab team has received a big setback with their decision.

However, in this case the High Court already made it clear that all the accused can also go to the lower court for bail and their petition will come by the lower court within the next four days.

Arnab Goswami, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Republic India, is accused that he and two others. Feroz Sheikh and Nitish Sarada, have grabbed five and a half crores of interior designer Anvay Naik. Frightened by the dishonesty and intimidation of these people, Aneva Naik has committed suicide with her old mother two years ago. Before dying, Anvay Naik, in his suicide note, described the three, including Arnab Goswami, as responsible for his death.
