Bomb scare on Dubai-Amritsar flight; passengers off-loaded

Amritsar: Passengers, who boarded a Dubai-Amritsar Spicejet flight, were asked to de-board at Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport following bomb scare in a suspicious bag, airport officials said on Thursday.

Airport authority received an anonymous call who informed about the suspicious bag kept inside the Dubai bound flight.

Aircraft was immediately removed from the runway and parked in an isolated spot. A bomb disposal squad launched a search operation but nothing was found in the bag.

Flight operations from the airport were suspended following the incident.
