Bharatiya Janata Party worker hacked to death in Thrissur city of Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: The Bharatiya Janata party worker was hacked to death in Mukkattukara area of Thrissur district in Kerala on Sunday night.

The deceased identified as Nirmal and his friend Thomas was attacked by the group of people during a festival at Kokkulangara temple in the city.

Nirmal and his friend were rushed to the nearby hospital but the former could not be saved by the doctors and his friend suffered critical injuries.

The local BJP unit alleged that the attacked was performed by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) workers.

It may be mentioned that the incident took place month after another BJP worker C Santosh was murdered in Andalur district of Kerala. He was hacked to death by members of the CPM.
