Kerala: A Bhartiya Janata Party worker was murdered on Wednesday in the state, a day after the murder of a Communist Party of India (Marxist) worker allegedly by BJP and RSS workers. The police has suspected it to be a case of retaliation.

It may be recalled that on October 10, Kuzhichal Mohanan, a 52-year old member of the ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist) was killed by six BJP and RSS workers in Kannur district of the state.

The CPI (M) leaders had allegedly that he was killed at his toddy shop in a busy market area in Valankichaal near Anjarakkandy.

The CPI(M) members had claimed that BJP had resorted to violent attacks to take revenge after they failed to win state assembly elections.

The police disclosed that around 30 injury marks were found on Mohanan's body during the investigation.
