New Delhi: BJP president Amit Shah, on Sunday took to twitter, where he confirmed the news of being discharged from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi.

It is to be mentioned that Shah was undergoing treatment for swine flu at AIIMS.

“With the grace of God, now I am completely healthy and today I have been discharged from the hospital and came to my house. I am thankful from the bottom of my heart for all the good wishes sent by people for my good health,” he tweeted the post in Hindi.

BJP leader and in-charge of the party's IT cell Amit Malviya also tweeted about Shah’s health. He wrote, “BJP president Shri Amit Shah has been discharged from AIIMS. He is fine and back home now. Thanks for all your wishes and messages.”

Shah was admitted to hospital on Wednesday after complaints of chest congestion and breathing issue.

It is to be mentioned that Shah is a close associate of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has held a number of portfolios in the state government during Modi's tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat.
