New Delhi: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday said that all banks, be it private or public, will remain open on coming Saturday and Sunday, i.e. November 12 and November 13.

Banks have been closed on Nov 9 for public dealings after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes with effect from Tuesday midnight.

Besides banks, ATMs also have been closed for two days on November 9 and November 10.

Public will be allowed to replace their old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes from Thursday with the new ones issued by RBI.
