New Delhi: The situation of air pollution in North India is deteriorating day by day. The level of air pollution has increased in most of the states of North India including Delhi, UP, Haryana and Punjab. Particularly in Delhi and its adjoining areas, air quality has deteriorated significantly due to air pollution.

AQI at 390 in Delhi:

However, there has been a slight decrease in the air pollution in Delhi for three consecutive days. This decrease has been recorded due to strong winds, which have shifted the air quality in the severe to very poor category.

Earlier Monday's average AQI was recorded at 390 which is 'Very Poor' category. The air quality in Delhi was recorded at 'severe' level for the last three days due to Diwali fireworks and stubble burning amid inclement weather. The level of air pollution was recorded very severe in different areas of the capital Delhi at 7 am on Tuesday, November 9.

Air Quality in Delhi:

According to the latest data from the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), the AQI level of 434 was recorded in the area of ​​Anand Vihar, similarly the AQI level of ITO Delhi was also 422 at the critical level. The AQI level in Chandni Chowk was 428, which is considered serious. One day IGI Airport measured 362 at a very poor level. The AQI level at Ibhas Dilshad Garden was 376 this morning. The AQI level in Jahangirpur was at critical level only at 7 am. It was recorded 453. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium was 395 at 7 am.

One of the biggest reasons for increasing pollution is the burning of stubble.

The AQI level at 7 am in Ambala, Haryana, adjoining Delhi, was recorded at a very poor 360. Similarly, 345 were recorded in Bahadurgarh, 341 in Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri 356, Ballabgarh 448, Faridabad 458, Gurugram 387, Hisar 378.
