Apex Court denies bail to Asaram Bapu, orders fresh FIR

New Delhi: In a major setback to Asaram Bapu, the Supreme Court on Monday dismissed the bail regarding the sexual assault cases registered against him.

A fresh FIR has been ordered for attaching false documents along with the plea. A fine of Rs 1 lakh has also been imposed over him.

• Court has said that Asaram could be treated in Jodhpur.
• Asaram is lodged in Jodhpur Central Jail as facing allegation of raping a minor girl
• It could be mentioned here that it was his seventh bail, rejected by court.
