Now anyone can buy land in Jammu and Kashmir and settle there. However, the cultivated land will still remain for the people of Jammu-Kashmir.

New Delhi: Buying land in Jammu and Kashmir was like a dream before, it was not possible for everyone but now this dream can come true. Anyone can buy land here and settle here. Yes, in this regard, a new notification has also been issued by the Union Home Ministry today i.e. on Tuesday. However, there will continue to be a ban on farming land there.

Land in Jammu and Kashmir:

At the same time, Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha said that we want to have outside industries in Jammu and Kashmir. Therefore, there is a need for investment in industrial land, but the land for farming will remain only for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act:

For information, let us tell you that till this time only people of Jammu and Kashmir could buy or sell land there, but now apart from the residents of this state, people coming from outside will also be able to buy land here and settle here . Let it be said that this decision has been taken by the Ministry of Home Affairs under the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act.

After this decision of the Union Home Ministry, any Indian will now be able to easily buy land for a house, shop or factory in Jammu and Kashmir. For this, the person will not have to provide any proof of being a local resident. Significantly, the Modi government at the Center has abolished the state's privilege by removing Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir last year.
