A K Antony: First opposition leader to support Modi government

New Delhi: Amid most of the opposition leaders lauding the Indian Army for carrying out surgical strikes in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), senior Congress leader A K Antony was the first among them to eulogize the government in this connection.

It is noteworthy that not a single opposition party or leader has praised the government for the action except the former Defence Minister who has come out in full support saying, “I support the government and its aspirations to safeguard the national security. There lies a strong message in the latest action taken by the government against Pakistan. Moreover, we completely support the government as well as the army at this crucial point of time.”

It may be recalled that the Indian Army on Thursday conducted surgical strikes across the Line of Control killing many terrorists as well as two Pakistani servicemen.
