Again Delhi Police looks unaided in completing their duty. This is the third incident in 4 days of firing by unidentified people. Delhi Police have registered a case after two unidentified persons allegedly opened fire.

Another Firing attack near Jamia Millia Campus, case filed

New Delhi: Again Delhi Police looks unaided in completing their duty. This is the third incident in 4 days of firing by unidentified people. But, Delhi Police have registered a case after two unidentified persons allegedly opened fire outside Jamia Millia Islamia on Sunday night, police said.

According to reports in this firing attack no one was injured.

In a statement issued by the Jamia Coordination Committee (JCC), a group comprising students and alumni of the university formed to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act, said the attackers were on a red motorcycle.

This incident happened when student of Jamia Millia University were protesting against CAA outside the campus.Two unidentified people came and started firing at the GateNo. 5. They were riding a scooty but luckily no one injured in attack. Asim Mohammed Khan, a former Congress MLA from Okhla, said the incident occurred around 11.30pm.

This firing attack is not the first, 3 days ago a man with gun was walking shouting he is gonna shoot and the police did nothing, he shot towards us. His video was shared on social media and he was saying, “Yeh lo azaadi…Hindustan zindabad…Delhi Police zindabad.” Delhi Police personnel were present when the shooting took place.

This incident took place when students were going to Rajghat from Shaheen Bagh on Martyrs’ Day. The man was identified as Gopal from Jewar.
