Anantnag: ASI Abdul Rashid shot by militants; dies

Militants fired at and injured ASI Rashid, who was on duty without a weapon, the police officials said, further stating that the officer received bullet injury in his abdomen. He had been shifted to district hospital in Anantnag where he took his last breath

Srinagar: Assistant Sub-Inspector Abdul Rashid, who was injured after being shot by terrorists in Anantnag's Mehandi Kadal, succumbed to his injuries on Monday.

The Police ASI was shot by the militants in at Mehandi Kedal in Anantnag district of South Kashmir, earlier in the day, Kashmir police said.

Militants fired at and injured ASI Rashid, who was on duty without a weapon, the police officials said, further stating that the officer received bullet injury in his abdomen.
