Amazon goes anti-India, Sushma Swaraj seeks unconditional apology

New Delhi: Global e-commerce company Amazon has landed itself in a soup after it sold products disrespecting the Indian national flag.

Slamming Amazon Canada, Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday demanded an apology, saying that if the products are not withdrawn immediately, then we will grant Indian visa to any Amazon official.

What Swaraj said in the two consecutive tweets:

  • Amazon must tender unconditional apology. They must withdraw all products insulting our national flag immediately
  • If this is not done forthwith, we will not grant Indian Visa to any Amazon official. We will also rescind the Visas issued earlier

Indian High Commission in Canada is also instructed to take up the matter with Amazon.
