New Delhi: Air India Express said that the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority on Friday suspended its flights for 24 hours after bringing Corona infected passengers. Earlier, flights were said to be suspended till October 2. According to the airline, today i.e. from September 19, its flights to and from Dubai will be restored as before.

On August 28 and September 4, two persons with Corona positive certificates traveled. Air India Express had said in an earlier statement that Dubai has suspended its flights from 18 to 2 October for bringing Corona infected passengers.

Airline had tweeted that it had “submitted a letter to Dubai Civil Aviation Authority. Expressing its profuse apologies and detailing various actions taken in association with the concerned ground handling agents to guard against such lapse in the future”.

Flights From India to Dubai:

The airline had also confirmed receiving a notice from the Dubai administration regarding this. According to the rules of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government. It is necessary for people traveling from India to undergo an RT-PCR test for Corona 96 hours before the trip and keep the original copy of the Corona Negative Certificate with them.

Air India Express tweeted: “Attention Passengers from/to Dubai! All Air India Express flights from/to Dubai will operate as per original schedule w.e.f tomorrow, September 19,2020.”
