But the lock on emporium will continue. Tourists have to follow the guidelines issued by the administration and ASI in view of Covid-19.
Taj Mahal reopening from Today:
The Taj Mahal and Agra Fort have been closed since 17 March and are being reopened to tourists from 21 September. According to the new guideline, a maximum of 5000 tourists will be allowed to the Taj Mahal in a day and a maximum of 2500 tourists will enter Agra Fort.
While the ticket window at both the monuments will remain closed.

Online ticket booking on ASI website:
Tourists have to book tickets online from ASI website. Access will be given after scanning the QR code on the monuments. In this regard, officials of the Department of Archeology say that the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) will be followed at Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.
At the Taj Mahal, five people would be able to go to the chamber containing the tombs in the main tomb of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz.

Social distancing and Mask:
Tourists will have to make all payments, including parking, digitally. It will be necessary for tourists to follow social distancing and apply masks. Tourists have to stay away from walls and railings. Apart from this, shoe covers, water bottles, tissue paper etc. have to be put in the dustbin.
