AAP laughs off Kumar Vishwas joining BJP rumour

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has laughed off the rumours of its leader Kumar Vishwas planning to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2017.

The rumour that erupted after a leading national daily published the report has gone viral over the internet.

The report claimed that Vishwas was likely to meet BJP national president Amit Shah before the final announcement of the candidates for the UP elections 2017. It also asserted that the AAP leader wanted to contest the elections from Sahibabad constituency in Ghaziabad district.

The rumour came after Congress leader Narayan Dutt Tiwari and his son Rohit Shekhar joined the BJP ahead of the Uttarakhand elections and Navjot Singh Sidhu switched loyalties from BJP to the Congress claiming that he was a born Congressman.

In slides: Vishwas, along with other AAP leaders such as Kapil Mishra and Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia, took to twitter to mock at the rumour.
