2 plus 2 Dialogue: India and US sign five agreements in the meet

New Delhi: India plus US Minister of State Mike Pompeo and Defense Minister Mark Espar along with India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in the Two Plus Two Ministerial Dialogue held in Delhi on Tuesday between India and the US. After this, the leaders of the two countries held a press conference and issued a joint statement.

US and India relation:

After the two plus two talks between US and India, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, 'We discussed many issues. The two countries agreed on a BECA agreement with a positive US initiative. We reaffirm our commitment to security and peace in the Indo-Pacific region. Our military cooperation with the US is much better. Projects for the development of defense equipment were discussed jointly between the two countries. US Defense Minister Mark Asper said, "Military cooperation between us will continue to grow."

America and India committed to protect the democracies:

Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo said, "America and India committed to protect the democracies and interests of both countries." Referring to the martyrdom of Indian soldiers in the Galvan Valley, he said, India will get support by the US in dealing with any threat.

Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar said, 'The main topic of our discussion was the Indian Pacific. We reiterated the importance of stability and peace and prosperity for all countries in the region. In the joint statement, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said that during the meeting, relations with our neighboring countries were also discussed. We clarified that cross-border terrorism is completely unacceptable.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and US Secretary of Defense Mark Asper met Prime Minister Narendra Modi this morning. During this, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar and NSA Ajit Doval were also present with him.
