By eating outside every day, the cholesterol level in the body starts increasing. In such a situation, some foods are effective in reducing cholesterol. It is also easy to make them a part of the diet. Bad cholesterol is a type of fatty substance.

This blood gets accumulated in the arteries due to which the blood flow gets obstructed and there is difficulty in reaching the blood to different parts of the body. This can lead to pain in body parts and even heart attack. In such a situation, if food is taken care of, high cholesterol starts reducing. Here we are talking about some such foods which reduce cholesterol.

Garlic:

Garlic is rich in amino acids, vitamins, minerals and a compound called allicin. It not only reduces the dirty cholesterol i.e. LDL in the body, but is also effective in increasing the good cholesterol i.e. HDL. If one-half to one clove of raw garlic is eaten daily, cholesterol level can be reduced. Garlic also contains beneficial anti-oxidants.

Coriander seeds:

Coriander is used as an Ayurvedic medicine. Coriander seeds contain folic acid, vitamin A, beta carotene and especially vitamin C. In such a situation, high cholesterol can be reduced by consuming coriander seeds.

Fenugreek seeds:

Fenugreek seeds, rich in Vitamin E, are also a good source of antidiabetic, antibacterial and anti-oxidant properties. Fenugreek seeds are rich in fiber. Consumption of fiber is effective in reducing dirty cholesterol. For consumption, take half to one spoon of fenugreek seeds and soak them in water overnight. Drinking this water on an empty stomach the next morning is beneficial in reducing cholesterol.

Gooseberry:

Amla contains rich amounts of Vitamin C. Amla is also a good source of medicinal properties and it also contains amino acids and minerals. If Amla is consumed daily in limited and correct quantity, cholesterol reduces. Drinking one to two teaspoons of Amla juice mixed with a glass of water reduces high cholesterol.
