What the child will watch on the phone and what not, it completely depends on the parents. For this, parents should fix the content from his screen time. A doctor has shared a video on his Insta and talked about the guidelines for showing the phone to children. In which he has also discussed what the child should watch according to age and for how long.

Phone guidelines for children

The doctor tells in the video that children between 0 to 2 years should not be shown the phone at all. Even keep the child away from the TV. At the same time, children between 2 to 5 years should be allowed to watch the phone or TV for only half to 1 hour. During this time you should also monitor what they are watching. Try to make them watch only educational content. Also, do not make them habituated to channel surfing, but fix one channel. Apart from this, keep children above 5 years of age away from phones and TV. Keep in mind that you too have grown up without phones and TV.

How to get rid of phone addiction

Set limits

The first step to prevent mobile addiction is to fix screen time. Make sure when and where to use mobile phones. For example, you should stop using mobile foam while eating or sleeping. Set limits on how much time your children should spend on the phone.

Get them to do outdoor activities

Encourage your child to participate in other activities that do not involve mobile phones. This can include outdoor activities, reading, drawing or playing games with family and friends.

Be a role model

Children learn by example. Avoid using your phone excessively in front of your children. Join your child in activities that do not involve mobile phones, such as playing board games or going on walks. You can help your child develop good habits.
