New Delhi: Previously, where the effect of Corona was seen only in cities, now it is spreading rapidly in the villages as well. Lack of information and treatment is leading to deaths. In view of these things, the government has issued a separate guideline for the villages, so that infection can be prevented.

Corona surge in India:

As per the guideline, ASHA workers have been instructed to monitor cases of colds and fever, and in case of infected cases, community health officers should handle the cases over the phone. Apart from this, ANM has also been asked to train for rapid antigen test.

What are the Guidelines in Indian Villages?

In every village, cold-fever cases will be monitored especially by ASHA workers.

Along with which there will also be a Health Sanitization and Nutrition Committee.

Patients who have been diagnosed with symptoms will immediately see a community health officer on the phone at the village level.

Infected people suffering from serious illnesses or cases of oxygen level decreasing should be sent to major hospitals.

OPD should be run at every sub center for respiratory infections with cold-fever, its time in the day has to be fixed.

Once the suspects are identified, their health centers may be tested by rapid antigen or their samples may be sent to nearby covid centers.

Health off and ANMs should also be trained in rapid antigen testing, antigen kits should be made available at every health center and sub center.

Those who have no symptoms, but have been close to an infected and have been less than 6 feet away without masks or, advise them to be quarantined. They should also be tested immediately.

About 80–85 percent cases are coming with no or very few symptoms. Such patients should be isolated in homes or covid care facility.
