Lucknow: The newest version of Oppo's software skin, termed as 'ColorOS 12', has been released by the Chinese tech company. ColorOS 12 is the company's most recent Android version custom software skin, which is based on the Android 12 operating system. Oppo's new smartphones will be equipped with a slew of new features thanks to the company's next operating system, termed as 'ColorOS 12'. The beta version of the new upgrade will begin rolling out this year, and the final version will be available until the end of the following year.

Beta testing begins for ColorOS 12:

Oppo has announced that select smartphone customers have begun receiving a beta version of ColorOS 12 on their handsets. They may begin testing the software immediately after receiving it. These users will get the opportunity to test new features before the rest of the public, and in exchange, they will provide problem reports and comments to the business. According to the business, the new version will offer seamless performance, additional productivity tools, and an improved user experience, in addition to other improvements.

Wallpaper based Material You Theme

ColorOS 12 also incorporates several standard features seen in Android 12, such as wallpaper-based material themes and "Material You" themes. It also has new skin 3D icons and animations, as well as new skins. Oppo will also provide its customers with the ability to create animated avatars using the 'Omoji' character set. It is anticipated that the Emoji feature would make use of users' face data as well as algorithms and that the data will be processed on the device itself, according to the firm.

Better privacy and safety features

Oppo claims that with the new custom skin, users will be able to make use of the privacy and security features included in Android 12. In addition, with the new privacy dashboard, users will be able to monitor and modify the suggestions of many different applications at the same time. Users will be notified as soon as any app attempts to access their microphones or cameras via the use of microphone and camera indications. Users have also been given the option of sharing their approximate position with other users.

Connect your device with a PC

ColorOS 12 now offers PC connect functionality for users, allowing them to connect their device to a computer quickly and conveniently. Users will be able to not only see their device's alerts, but they will also be able to drag and drop files from one device to another in this manner. Additionally, with the assistance of a sidebar, users will have the option of quickly translating their text.

These devices will get the new update

Oppo has said that the X3 Pro 5G, which was the company's first smartphone, would get this upgrade in October. The Find X2 and Reno 6 series will get an upgrade in November, while the Reno 5 Pro 5G, F19 Pro+, and A74 5G will receive an update in December. In addition, the Reno 10X Zoom, Reno 3 Pro, Reno 4 Pro, and the remainder of the F-series and A-series smartphones will begin receiving upgrades to iOS 12 in 2022, the following year, starting with the Reno 3 Pro.
