Lucknow: Oppo, a Chinese technology titan, has been working on foldable smartphones for quite some time, but the business has yet to release its first foldable gadget. It was previously reported that the gadget will be released in the first half of 2021, however, this did not turn out to be accurate. Currently, there is widespread speculation that the business would introduce the gadget next month and that it will be accessible on the market before the end of the year.

Display with a high refresh rate

According to a recent rumor making its way to the Chinese market, Oppo's next foldable phone might have a design that is similar to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold Series. The new smartphone, which may be dubbed Oppo Fold or Oppo X, would have an 8-inch foldable display with a 120Hz refresh rate and LTPO technology, as well as a 120Hz refresh rate. According to Leaks, the display will be able to fold inward, and that the corporation will be able to get it from Samsung.

Foldable like a book

Oppo may choose to use the same design for its first foldable smartphone that has been used by many other firms in the past. Samsung introduced the first Galaxy Fold with this design, and later on, Huawei and Xiaomi introduced devices with the same design as Samsung. In addition to the secondary display on the exterior, it will feature a massive inside display as well. Oppo may release a foldable phone with a clamshell design next year.

Specifications of Oppo's Foldable Phone

Among the features of Oppo's new foldable smartphone will be the company's high-performance Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 CPU. The utilization of this CPU, on the other hand, is a bit surprising considering that Qualcomm is expected to release the Snapdragon 898 chipset before the end of this year. Although Oppo may have been working on this gadget for a long time, it seems that the company has already begun mass production using the outdated Chipset. If this is the case, the corporation would not even consider delaying the launch.

50 MP Main Camera

According to previous reports, the business is capable of providing a 50-megapixel primary camera sensor for Oppo's foldable gadget. The device will be equipped with a 32-megapixel front camera for taking selfies in addition to the Sony IMX766 sensor. We'll have to wait and see whether Oppo includes a multi-camera configuration with this smartphone or not. Oppo may include an authentication feature in this smartphone in the form of a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The battery specs for the new smartphone have not yet been released.

Limited availability is expected

A leak claims Oppo's forthcoming foldable phone won't be cheaper. The fact is, though, that there is nothing unusual about it. Every company, including Xiaomi, Huawei, and Samsung, debuted their first foldable phones for more than Rs 1 lakh when they were first introduced. It has been revealed that Oppo's first foldable cellphone would be released in its native country China initially, implying that the phone will only be available in limited quantities elsewhere.
