Bimlesh Dutt Mishra sacrifices bureaucratic career to serve India
New Delhi: You can easily find people talking about patriotism, but very few of them would be able to set examples for the coming generations. Bimlesh Dutt Mishra is one of those patriotic people who have jumped into the uncertain world of politics leaving behind a Class one job in the Custom and Central Excise department.
Taking voluntary retirement from his job, Bimlesh Dutt Mishra joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday in presence of BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh. After joining the party, he met BJP's National President Amit Shah and offered him a bouquet.
Who is Bimlesh Dutt Gupta aka BD?
The former Class 1 government officer lives in Indirapuram locality of Ghaziabad. He is fondly known as 'BD' in bureaucratic circles.
Being inspired from the working ethics of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he took VRS and jumped into politics at an age when people usually look for stability in career and life.
The bureaucrat-turned-politician originally belongs to Arrah district of Bihar. He is known for his very organised method of working which has benefited his department on many occasions.
What did he say on joining BJP?
Addressing the media after joining BJP, Bimlesh Dutt Mishra said, "I am very much inspired from Modi ji. I have been following him ever since he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. I also believe in his idea of India as he always says that politicians and parties will come and go but the country should stay forever."
"So, I believe country's stability is much more important than the stability of mine and my family. I also want to contribute towards the development of my country," he added.
