Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh is going to have 'Ram Raj' for three days only. It is because the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah would be spending three days in the state, starting from Saturday.

UP Director General of Police Sulkhan Singh passed a strange and ironical order alerting the cops to 'ensure that the state remains crime-free for three days from Saturday till the BJP chief stays in the state'.

The alert sounds very insensitive towards over 20 crore population of the state, as when the police is capable of controlling crimes for three days, why it cannot maintain the same law and order forever.

Sulkhan Singh talked to all the Zonal Additional DGPs of the state and ordered them to keep UP crime-free for just three days. He told the officers that if any crimes happen in the state during these days, it will spoil the image of the police as well as the state government.

After receiving the alert from the DGP, the Zonal ADGPs conveyed the alert to the cops of their regions, ordering them to carry out more stringent patrolling and checking in their districts.

The content of the order passed by Zonal ADGPs:

"In the wake of the BJP meet in Lucknow, cops are required to strengthen the security measures and conduct proper checking and patrolling in their regions. According to the UP DGP's orders, police needs to ensure that no crimes happen across the state in the next three days."

Some unidentified bikers, however, seemed unfazed by DGP's order as they shot dead police constable Satish Chandra in the Eitadudaula police station area of Agra on Saturday. During the past three months, it was the second such instance in Agra district where a cop has been killed by the goons.

The order has clearly shown that Amit Shah is a highly influential person not only in the BJP and the government, but also in the police department.

A lot of preparations were made by the party workers to welcome Shah in the state capital. He was scheduled to leave for Indira Gandhi Pratishthan directly from the airport, but was stopped by the cheerful party workers on the way, adding woes to the common people were stayed stuck at several crossroads across the city for over 40 minutes. They were stopped by the police to ensure smooth transition of the convoy of Amit Shah.
