Even Dimple Yadav becomes 'bhakt' of Narendra Modi's oratory

Lucknow: The political rancour between Samajwadi Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi notwithstanding, the latter has a trick or two to inspire SP MP from Kannauj, Dimple Yadav who, in effort to come out from her pale shadow of an ordinary orator, emulated style of Modi on more than one occasion.

It was only few weeks ago when Dimple, the wife of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, was ridiculed on social media for her fumbling speech in the Lok Sabha. The stakes in the ongoing UP polls for the ruling party in UP are so high that even the severest of Modi critic Dimple Yadav had to emulate him in her election speeches.

Dimple unabashedly used the tone, tenor and voice contours ala Modi while trying to engage the masses during her address in Auraiya, considered to be the pocket borough of SP. The style as it goes like , she keeps on reiterating her questions like, “Bataiye Kya Ye Hua Ya Nahin”, Bataiye Kya Apne Bhaiya Akhilesh Ka Saath Denge Ya Nahi” until she gets a reply from the public.

Dimple also targeted Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in the same manner by asking people, "Patthar wali sarkar ne kya kiya." There came the reply “kutch nahi’’.

Claiming that one government in the state (BSP), erected 'elephants' (BSP party symbol) in queues while the other at the Centre (BJP government), forced people to stand in bank and ATM queues, she asked people, "Kya paise dobara ikattha karne mein samay lagega ya nahi?"

Earlier, the Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi also explored the tactic by mimicking Modi on several occasions but he was more engaged in ridiculing the PM while Dimple followed Modi’s style to hone her eloquence.

It may be mentioned that there was a time when even his political adversaries used to come to hear former Prime Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was bestowed with the gift of the gab like no contemporary could boast of.
