Mumbai: For David Dhawan, there are no remakes now. This is time for original story.

"I know it is a convenient formula to do remakes and sequels. But we may surprise everyone by doing an entirely original film this time," said David Dhawan while taking to a leading news portal.

After the enormous success of 'Judwaa 2', the remake of 1997 blockbuster 'Judwaa', there have been speculations that the father-son duo of Varun Dhawan and David Dhawan are going to remake their another super-hit movie 'Biwi No. 1', released in 1999.

Well, the filmmaker has brushed aside the rumours saying he was happy people were talking about their next, but they had no such plans as of yet.

In a recent interview with a leading news portal, David, who made 45 films in a career spanning over 40 years, said, "Good that people are speculating about what we will do next," adding, "We haven’t thought about remaking Biwi No. 1 as of yet. Right now, we’re in the holiday mood. Let the new year begin and then we’ll think of what to do next."

David's other son Rohut Dhawan is reportedly planning for a superhero movie while Varun Dhawan has a list of films to release in the coming years. Varun will be seen opposite newly-married Anushka Sharma in 'Sui Dhaaga' and is also working on 'October', the directorial venture of Shoojit Sircar.
