Vidya makes Marathi debut, tweets trailer of Ek Albela

Mumbai: After setting milestones with her acting in Bollywood, Dirty Picture fame actress Vidya Balan is all set to debut in a Marathi movie.

The actress, who was last seen in a Bollywood movie, 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani' with Emraan Hashmi, is now playing the role of an eminent yesteryear Bollywood actor Geeta Bali in her forthcoming Marathi film 'Ek Albela'.

Vidya, on Thursday excitedly shared the trailer on twitter along with a tweet that read, "Hello all.. Here's the 1st look of Ek Albela, My 1st Marathi venture and even though its a special appearance, I'm excited"

About 'Ek Albela':-

· The film traces the journey of Bhagwan Dada's film career as an actor.

· Bhagwan Dada, also credited as Bhagwan, was an actor and director.

· The title is taken from Bhagwan's film 'Albela' released in 1951.

· Vidya is playing the role of Bollywood actor Geeta Bali.

· Vidya's role is credited as a special appearance.

· Vidya was not required to speak Marathi .

· The film is directed by Shekhar Sartandel.

· The Star-Cast of the film includes Maglesh Desai and Vidya Balan.
