Veteran actor Om Puri passes away after a massive heart attack

Mumbai: The renowned actor of Indian Cinema Om Puri passed away on Friday following a massive heart attack.

The 66-year-old actor had appeared in many movies of Indian cinema as well as Pakistani, British and Hollywood films.

Om Puri had received an Order of the British Empire (OBE) He also achieved Padma Shri award.

(OBE is a most excellent order of British Empire, which is the "order of chivalry of British constitutional monarchy". It rewards the people contributing to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the Civil Service.)
