Mumbai: Veteran actor-director Kader Khan passed away today, fighting a brain disease, Progressive Supra-nuclear Palsy, at a hospital in Toronto, Canada. A family member confirmed this news.

Earlier, many fake news of his death stormed the social media, which created a chaos among his fans, later, his son Sarfaraz busted the rumors of Kader's death can confirmed the news of his well-being.

Progressive Supra-nuclear Palsy is a degenerative disease involving the gradual deterioration and death of specific volumes of the brain.

The condition leads to symptoms including loss of balance, slowing of movement, difficulty moving the eyes, and dementia. Earlier, Kader Khan was on regular ventilator but due to breathing issues Khan has been transferred to BiPAP ventilator.

Who was Kader Khan?

Kader Khan was an Afghan-born Indian-Canadian film actor, screenwriter, comedian, and director. As an actor, Khan appeared in over 300 films after his debut film in the 1973 film 'Daag', starring Rajesh Khanna, in which he acted as a prosecuting attorney.

Khan was also a prolific screenwriter, who wrote for many Bollywood films in 1970's and 1980's.

Before entering the film industry in the early 1970's, he was a Civil Engineering professor at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, in Mumbai.
