Tusshar Kapoor becomes father; welcomes Laksshya via surrogacy

Mumbai: Tusshar Kapoor, who is single, on Monday, surprised the Bollywood fraternity and fans by announcing the birth of his son via IVF and surrogacy. Ecstatic actor said that he has found the greatest source of joy in his son christened Laksshya.

Tusshar, in a statement said, “I am thrilled to be a father! The paternal instincts in me have been overpowering my heart and mind for some time now. Therefore, I am thrilled beyond words to have Laksshya, now the greatest source of joy in my life."

Bollywood legend Jeetendra’s son Tusshar also thanked the team of doctors who were behind the birth of his child. Giving a message to the world, he said, “Parenthood is an option for many, who choose to be single parents."

The IVF treatment was led by Firuza Parikh, Director of IVF and Genetics at the Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre.

However, this is not the first time when stars from Bollywood have opted the surrogate treatment for turning parents. Earlier, superstar Aamir Khan and wife Kiran had surrogate baby Azad and Shahrukh Khan and wife Gauri had their third child AbRam via surrogacy.
