Madrid: The four -day International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) function which brings the magic of Indian Cinema to a new foreign destination every year and also opens door for Bollywood across the international market will be held between June 23 to June 26.
This will be the 17th edition of IIFA and take place in Madrid, Spain.
Lets have a look at few nominations:
- Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer Bajirao Mastani scored a maximum of eight nominations.
- Bajrangi Bhaijaan scored seven nominations.
- Shoojit Sircar direted movie Piku gained six nominations and Dil Dhadakne Do received five nominations.
- Badlapur,Tanu Weds Manu returns, Talvar are also mentioned in the award list.
- Nominations for supporting role Female are Priyanka Chopra, Tanvi Azmi, Anushka Sharma, Huma Qureshi, Konkana Sen Sharma.
- Arijit Singh has been nominated twice as a playback singer Male for Hamari Aadhuri Kahaani and Roy.
- Nawazuddin Siddiqui, one of the talented actor garnered three nomuinations in the category of Performance in a Comic Role, Performance in a Negative Role and Performance in a Supporting Role- Male.
- Nominations for the leading role male this year are:
- Varun Dhawan for Badlapur.
- Salman Khan for Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
- Amitabh Bachchan fo9r Piku.
- Ranbir Kapoor for Tamasha.
- Ranveer Singh for Bajirao Mastani.
- Nominatuions for leading role Female are:
- Priyanka Chopra for Dil Dhadakne Do.
- Shraddha Kapoor for ABCD2
- Deepika Padukone for Piku.
- Kangana Ranaut for tanu Weds Manu returns.
- Deepika Padukone for Bajirao Mastani.
- Nominations for Best Picture and Director are :
- Kabir Khan (Bajrangi Bhaijaan)
- Shoojit Sircar (Piku)
- MeghnaGulzar (Talvar)
- Aanand L. Rai (Tanu Weds Manu Returns)
- Sanjay Leela Bhansali (Bajirao Mastani).
- The NEXA IIFA Awards 2016 will be hosted by Farhan Akhtar and Shahid Kapoor this year at Madrid.
