Lucknow: A film is in the making over the sensitive issues like Muzaffarnagar Riots that took over 60 lives, injured around 100 people and left more than 50,000 displaced in August-September 2013. The makers have dared to bring it on big screen and have released the first motion poster of the film titled as 'Shorgul'.

The hard hitting poster shows a background filling up with actual newspaper articles that were published in the recent past, covering the major incidents like 'Love Jihad', 'Intolerance' and 'Communal Violence'.

Shorgul features Jimmy Shergill as Sangeet Som, Sanjay Suri will play Akhilesh Yadav and Narendra Jha will play Azam Khan. Interestingly the characters in the film also have the same on-screen names with a slight alteration for instance - Ranjit Som, Mithilesh Yadav, Aalim Khan.

The film has received a clearance from the censor board in spite of the film touching upon sensitive issues such as Muzzafarnagar, Godhra and Babri Masjid riots. The film will bring to life real time political scams of controversial high-profile dignitaries that rocked the nation.

Shorgul trailer will hit the internet on May 26.
