'Secret Superstar' garners strong word of mouth worldwide

Mumbai: Secret Superstar featuring Zaira Wasim and Aamir Khan has gained a positive response worldwide. The movie was released in 1090 screens overseas and garnered strong word of mouth.

The Advait Chandan directorial received good start as it has shown 304 per cent growth at the box office of Australia and 209.39 per cent in New Zealand box office on day 2 as per Bollywood Hungama.

The movie was released on 23 theatres in Australia and earned 17,615 USD (Rs 11.45 lakhs) while it collected 8,721 USD (Rs 5.67 lakhs ) from 17 theatres in New Zealand.

Released during the occasion of Diwali, the movie also faced competition from Ajay Devgn starrer Golmaal Again.

Secret Superstar revolves around a teenager named Insiya who dreams of becoming a famous singer and how she changes her life and the lives of everyone around her.
