The movie 'The Accidental Prime Minister’ has earned the reputation of being 2019s the most controversial movie, with several criticism and legal suits filed against its trailer.

Screening of ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ was stopped in Punjab

Ludhiana: As soon as the film ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ released, its screening was stopped at a multiplex in Punjab state, on Friday.

The Congress activists across Ludhiana protested against the film.

A protest was held outside the Pavilion Mall due to which the multiplex management could not start the show.

It is to be mentioned that Congress protest took place in the presence of local police and administration officials.

Although, the film was screened by many multiplexes in Chandigarh.

The film is based on the book of the same name by writer, Sanjay Baru who served as Singh’s media advisor from 2004 to 2008. Actor Akshaye Khanna played the role of Baru.

The character of Manmohan Singh is enacted by actor Anupam Kher. The other roles are played by actors like Akshaye Khanna as Sanjaya Baru a political commentator, Suzanne Bernert as Sonia Gandhi the former president of Indian National Congress, Aahana Kumra as Priyanka Gandhi the daughter of Sonia Gandhi, Arjun Mathur as Rahul Gandhi the son of Sonia Gandhi.
