Scarlet Johansson to join Washington march against Donald Trump

Washington: Hollywood diva Scarlett Johansson has condemned United States President-elect Donald Trump for attacking reproductive rights of women.

The Avengers actress claimed to join the protest march to Washington on the day of presidential inauguration this Friday. The march is expected to be joined by more than 2 lakh people, including A-list Hollywood celebs, while over 370 more such marches are scheduled to take place around the globe on January 20.

"'I will participate in the march to make my voice heard and stand up for what I believe in," said Scarlett Johansson on being asked if she was going to the protest march against Donald Trump.

A three-hour Facebook Live telethon, named 'Love-a-thon', has been launched by celebrities, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Jane Fonda and Patricia Arquette, to raise funds for Planned Parenthood, the American Civil Liberties Union and Earthjustice, the organisations that support causes against Donald Trump.

America Ferrera, who is helping in organising the Washington protest, stated, "Since the election, so many people fear that their voices will go unheard. As artists, women, and most importantly dedicated Americans, it is critical that we stand together in solidarity for the protection, dignity and rights of our communities."

Apart from Scarlett Johansson, lots of other Hollywood stars like Katy Perry, Jennifer Lawrence, Ashley Judd, George Clooney, JK Rowling and Amy Schumer have condemned Donald Trump for the same.
