Winning many hearts, Shields grabs the title of Miss America 2017

California: Impressing the jury with her dancing skills and intelligence, Savvy Shields on Sunday won the annual Miss America pageant.

Winning the hearts of the judges, Shields presented a 'jazz dance' performance in front of them and her answer to a question about her take on Democratic United States presidential candidate Hillary Clinton proved to be a cherry on the cake.

Shields is a Fayetteville local and a student at the University of Arkansas. She was among the seven finalists who were given 20 seconds to answer highly topical questions on some issues shrouded in controversies, for instance, immigration and Clinton rival Donald Trump.
