Sarwar Ahuja visits Lucknow to promote his upcoming show

Lucknow: Starcast of ‘Mere Papa Hero Hiralal’, Television’s popular actor Sarwar Ahuja, and Riva Arora, who started her modelling career at the age of 18 months, and has done movies like Rockstar, Mom and Haseena, visited Lucknow to promote the television series.

As the lead protagonist, Sarwar Ahuja plays the role of Hiralal Tiwari, a single father who makes his living driving an auto rickshaw, and is ready to go beyond the ordinary to help his daughter Gungun (played by Riva Arora) recover from a serious medical condition.

Produced by Viniyard Films, Mere Papa, Hero Hiralal is a fiction show inspired by a true-life incident of an auto rickshaw driver from Mumbai who had to ply carrying his two-year- old child in his lap.

A special screening of the show was organized for select fathers, who drive auto rickshaw for a living, along with their daughters. Sarwar Ahuja was visibly moved post the interaction with the passionate fathers who are ready to do anything for their daughters.

“Playing Hiralal made me explore so many new emotions that I have never lived before. Hiralal might not have money, but he is still richer than most. Life is tough for Hiralal, but with optimism and a never say die spirit, he makes every day special for his daughter,” says Sarwar Ahuja.

“This special bond between father and daughter is the core of this heartwarming drama series. I really enjoyed spending hours and hours with young Riva who is full of life.”

“I am delighted to be in Lucknow to promote Mere Papa Hero Hiralal. I am confident that people will love the story of a special relationship between a father and daughter,” said, Riva Arora.

‘Mere Papa Hero Hiralal’ will showcased on Discovery’s new general entertainment channel Discovery JEET starting February 12 every week day at 9:30 P.M. Discovery JEET will bring together Discovery’s unmatched story-telling and the best of real-life entertainment through larger than life stories aimed at inspiring millions.
