Aa rahi hai police: Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi ready to hit the theaters on THIS day

The biggest production house of Bollywood, Yash Raj Films, have announced their slate of releases for 2021 and this has ensured a constant flow of releases on a weekly basis over the next 3 months. The first major film to hit the big screen will be the horror comedy, Roohi on March 11, which will be followed by Sooryavanshi on April 2, Bunty Aur Babli 2 on April 23, the big Eid clash between Radhe and Satyameva Jayate 2 on May 12 followed by 83 on June 11 and finally, Shamshera on June 25.

Over 700 crore expected from Bollywood

With as many as seven major Hindi films in a span of three months, the least that one can expect from the theatrical business of these films is anywhere between Rs 700 to 900 crore, and this can even go high if the audience gets back to cinema like the pre-covid days.

In an ideal scenario, the collections of just the four biggies – Sooryavanshi, 83, Radhe and Shamshera – had the potential to go past the Rs 1000 crore mark, but we are still in the midst of a pandemic and it’s all trail and error for now.

Sooryavanshi:

The negotiations between national chains and the team of Reliance is moving in the right direction and a Pan-Indian release is on the way for the Akshay Kumar film. Sooryavanshi in all probabilities will also get the first to arrive benefit, particularly in the mass belts, as the audience is starving for a big screen entertainer. It is the film that will get audience in all sectors back in cinema halls.

Clash between Radhe and Satyameva Jayate 2

However, the clash between Radhe and Satyameva Jayate 2 on Eid will hamper the prospects of both the films. Curtailing them from reaching their true potential in solo run, more so because both of them cater to the same set of audience.

There still lies a chance for these films to blow up the lid. However, the eyes of the trade are all set to see the audience consumption pattern on Roohi and Sooryavanshi. To predict the biz of all the other upcoming films. But well, it’s a positive sign and the things should start moving in the right direction with this slate announcement from Yash Raj Films. An official announcement on the release date of Sooryavanshi and 83 is expected to be made very soon, blocking the dates mentioned below.
