Mumbai: Indirectly lashing out at Salman Khan for his support to Pakistani artistes associated with the Indian film industry, veteran Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon on Sunday said all actors should stand by the government when the nation’s security was concerned.

“We are first of all Indians and should support the strategies devised by the government for the security of our country rather than standing against them,” said the ‘Dulhe Raja’ fame actress while talking to media persons at an event in the capital of Maharashtra.

It may be recalled that Dabangg Khan had earlier said banning Pakistani artistes in India was not going to curb terrorism as they were just actors and not terrorists. Salman’s remark came after the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association had passed a resolution to ban Pakistani artistes in Bollywood projects.

In the wake of his remark, Sallu Bhai had also received a warning from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray saying his flicks would also be banned if the actor continued to support artistes from Pakistan.
