"Sanjay has lived his life. He paid the price for the mistakes he committed during his life. He has gone through much, in his mother (the late Nargis Dutt) passing away just before the premiere of his film, drug abuse, being labelled a terrorist, his failed marriages, the grind of punishment and much more. We're not trying to glorify Sanjay Dutt in any way. It is not a propaganda film," said Ranbir Kapoor.
RK further claimed that the film has a strong message for the youths of the country as it talks about the human flaws.
"The biopic making will teach you something. It will talk about human flaws, the emotional father-son story (between Sanjay and the late Sunil Dutt), his relationship with his best friend, with the women in his life. It's emotional, it's funny, it's sad, it's bittersweet. The youth has a lot to learn from his mistakes," says Ranbir.
