Rakhi Sawant arrested for making controversial remarks against Valmiki

Mumbai: The punjab police, on Monday, has arrested the controversial Bollywood Actor Rakhi Sawant for making an inappropriate comment against sage Valmiki, the author of Ramayana.

The state police had left for Mumbai to execute the arrest warrant that was issued against by the local court of Punjab after the actor failed to appear before the court on March 9, in a case filed against her for making problematic remark against Valmiki, and hurting the sentiments of many.

The complainant said, "Rakhi has hurt the religious sentiments of the valmiki Community by making the derogatory remark."

"A two-member team of the Ludhiana police has left for Mumbai with the arrest warrant," a police official said.

The next hearing is scheduled to take place on April 10.

Giving a unique remark on her arrest warrant issue, the controversial queen said, "I am not Salman Khan, I am Rakhi Sawant. You won't get anything by putting charges on me. I am a simple girl who does social work and work in movies."

The actor, earlier in 2016,while talking to private television channel gave an example that how people and their situation changes. She stated , "Valmiki was once a murderer but later wrote Ramayana."

Comparing Valmiki to singer Mika Singh, who had forcibly kissed her during his birthday bash in 2014, Sawant said, "Like the Hindu sage, the singer had also now "changed" and was "innocent".
