Raj Kundra PC: Social Media

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's husband and businessman Raj Kundra will have to spend a few more days in jail. On Tuesday, after the end of his judicial custody, he was presented in a sessions court in Mumbai.

In this session, his bail hearing was adjourned till August 20. According to media reports, the crime branch has given 19 reasons against Kundra's bail to the court, after which the court adjourned the hearing.

Raj Kundra's jail time extended:

As per reports, the crime branch told the court that Raj Kundra was not co-operating in the investigation and investigation is still under process. There is still a lot of evidence to gather. Also, witnesses and victims are coming forward to record their statements.

The police team gave shocking information to the court. They said, 'The investigation finds Kundra was operating the Hotshots app on which blue films were uploaded through Kenrin Limited, registered in London.'

It is said that this company is registered on the name of Kundra's brother-in-law Pradeep Bakshi. Pradeep has also now been declared 'Wanted' in this case. The defense counsel sought time to respond to the crime branch's submissions, after which the hearing was adjourned till August 20.

At the same time, the police opposed the bail and told the court that it would send a wrong message to the society. Police said, 'After getting the bail, the accused can commit the crime again or can even run away.'

On the other hand, the bail petition on behalf of Kundra states that the police had filed the chargesheet in April and his name was not there on it and neither is his name in the FIR regarding this case. Those whose names are in the chargesheet, they have been granted bail. The petition said that the magistrate court had erred in rejecting the bail.
