New Delhi: Late television actress Pratyusha Banerjee’s mother has moved a plea in the Supreme Court demanding the cancelation of the anticipatory bail granted to Rahul Raj Singh, who is accused of abetting her daughter for suicide.

Rahul was given relief by the Bombay High Court after he was charged of forcing the 24-year-old actress to commit suicide at her Mumbai residence on April 1st.

The apex bench of justices A M Sapre and Ashok Bhushan have kept May 30, the next date for hearing the case. It is kept in front of the court by the Pratyusha’s mother that Rahul Raj should be taken into custody as the investigation in the case is still on and the accused could tamper the evidence.

The police had earlier mentioned in its report that Rahul used to assault Pratyusha and even borrow money from her. Pratyusha’s family and friends claim that the Balika Vadhu fame actress can’t take the extreme step of committing suicide by herself and Rahul has a hand into her death.
