‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ lyricist Manoj shares untold moments

Lucknow: The lyricist of ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ Manoj Muntashir was here on Saturday for the promotions of the film. In an exclusive interview to the newstrack.com, he shared some unknown facts about the Sushant Singh Rajput starrer film.

1. At what extent, ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ matches Dhoni’s life?

Dhoni has remained involved with the Neeraj Pandey directed film. He did not want a single scene or song in the film which does not matches his actual journey.

2. How much time do Indian captain gave to the filmmakers?

Dhoni remained connected with us via telephone throughout the shooting of the film. The film could be said as a biography of Dhoni as we did not added any unnecessary flavours.

3. Do you want to quote any song of the film related to Dhoni?

Yes, ‘Jab Tak’ track sung by Armaan Malik is one such song which is very much connected to Dhoni’s life. He himself has liked the song. The song is trending high on Internet.

4. You would have met Dhoni, what are your words regarding him?

MS Dhoni is a serious and least talkative personality.

5. What are your other projects excluding this?

I have written songs for Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Baadshaho’ and also been involved in Himesh Reshamiya’s upcoming album.

6. Do you have the dream of becoming a song writer from your childhood?

Being a son of a farmer, I faced hardships in my life. But, yes my aim was crystal clear. I always wanted to be a song writer.

7. Any advice to the young aspiring lyricists?

Yes, I will advice them to read books as much as they can as by reading different writers, they could generate quality content.
