Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar conferred with Legendary Award

Mumbai: Nation's nightingale Lata Mangeshkar has been honoured with the 'Legendary Award' by the Brand Laureate.

The Indian melody queen has entertained the music lovers from all across the globe with her mesmerising voice and bagged many awards.

Lata took to twitter to share her picture with the award and also thanked the well wishers for her gratifying career.

Thanking Brand laureate for honouring her with this award, Mangeshkar tweeted, "Heartfelt thank you to 'The Brand Laureate' for honouring me with the 'Legendary Award' 2017."

It may be mentioned that earlier, in 2012, Bollywood Superstar Shahrukh Khan was honoured with this award for his contribution to the Indian cinema.

The Brand Laureate Legendary Award has been also conferred to former South African president Nelson Mandela, Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus, Indian businessman Ratan Tata, late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and F1 ace Michael Schumacher.
