Markandey Katju calls Justin Bieber concert attendees 'stupid'

Mumbai: Former Chief Justice of India Markandey Katju on Sunday sparked another controversy by claiming that the people who bought the expensive tickets of recent Justin Bieber concert in Mumbai were 'stupid'.

Katju, through a Facebook post, claimed that after coming to know that people travelled from all corners of India and bought the costly tickets of the concert of the Canadian singer, his figure of stupid Indians has risen to 97 per cent.

Within an hour, he made another post claiming that he rechecked if he was correct to consider the youth of today stupid, by listening the famous 'Baby' song of Bieber. He, however, still found the people being crazy for the 23-yerar-old singer nothing more than just 'paagalpan'.

Earlier on May 10, he had taken a dig at the Bollywood stars who attended Justin Bieber's concert in Mumbai by tagging them as 'stupid'.

It may be recalled that Justin Bieber was in India as a part of his Purpose World Tour. He delivered a mind-blowing performance in the concert held at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on May 10.
