Actor-turned-author Twinkle Khanna is making production debut with the biopic on Arunachalam Muruganantham.

The flick is the adaptation Mrsfunnybones own novel on 'Muruganantham'.

Padman, based on the story of Arunachalam Muruganantham, the man who invented low-cost sanitary napkins for rural and underprivileged women to use, also stars Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles.

Akshay plays the character of Murugan and Radhika Apte plays his wife Shanthi. It was recently revealed Sonam Kapoor plays a character who will have an extra-marital affair with Akshay's character Murugan.
