Making of 2.0 – 3D Featurette: An amazing visual treat in offing

Chennai: Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0 is unarguably the most awaited Indian film not only due to its ensemble but also because it is going to be a three-dimensional visual treat for the audiences.

Yes, the 'Making of 2.0 - 3D Featurette' clearly explains why the film is not meant to be missed by any of the moviegoers. Since its release on YouTube on Saturday, the video has so far fetched around two million views.

The film, helmed by Shankar, is raising the curiosity and expectations from the project with each passing day.

The latest video is only an add on to the excitement of the audiences, who are not only eager to watch Rajinikanth in the hero's role, but also see the performance of Akshay Kumar as the antagonist in the movie.

Endhiran's sequel (Robot in Hindi) '2.0' has been shot using the latest 3D technology cameras directly, to provide the best visual experience possible to the audience.

The makers of 2.0 hope that the movie will inspire more filmmakers to engage with the technology. The film’s cinematographer Nirav Shah, Superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and film’s lead stereographer Ray Hannisan also explained how much hard work it required to make the 3D movie.

“I was mesmerised when I saw the first shot in 3D on the screen. I was repeatedly watching it,” said Rajinikanth giving us an idea of the spectacle that Shankar has in store for us.

The film, 2.0, has been made of a whopping budget of Rs 400 crore, and is touted to be Asia's costliest movie to be made. Apart from Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, the film will see Amy Jackson playing the female lead in the film. The music has been composed by Academy Award winner AR Rahman.
