Mumbai: After Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, noted Indian director Mahesh Bhatt has voiced his support for the Pakistani artists in India. He promoted campaign #ProfileforPeace on October 1, urging all to “kill terrorists and not talks”.

He went out to share a picture with a written message on a piece of paper which reads, “Dear leaders, do not let the actions of a few violent men write the future of many people, like me who want peace. #KillTerroristsNotTalks #ProfileForPeace.”

Bhatt’s statement was the aftermath of India’s resolution of banning the Pakistani artists in the country after the brutal Uri attack in which 20 Indian soldiers were martyred.

The Indian film industry has fragmented over the decision of disallowing actors and singers from the neighbouring nation work in India. While few like Nana Patekar, Anupam Kher and Raveena Tandon are going with the decision, actors including Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and veteran Om Puri find it wrong to ditch the artists.
